Terms of Use

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using CardDeals (the "Service"), operated at carddeals.co by CardDeals LLC ("CardDeals", "we", "our", or "us"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service. We may update these Terms. We will post the new version here with a new "Last updated" date and, for material changes, give notice on the Service or by email before they take effect. If you keep using the Service after a change takes effect, the updated Terms apply.

2. Description of Service

CardDeals helps you save on gift cards in these ways:

  • Comparison. We aggregate discounted gift card offers from third-party providers so you can find the best price. For those deals, the third-party provider fulfills the transaction.
  • Selling cards directly. Some gift cards are sold to you directly by CardDeals, either from cards we own or from cards we source from a supply partner, and are delivered electronically as described in Section 5. To buy a card we source from a supply partner, you must first verify your identity with our verification provider, Didit.
  • Deal data for software and AI assistants. We offer a free, read-only public deal API and MCP server that return current offers with the same ranking and disclosures as our website.

If you sold us a gift card, that sale is governed by our Gift Card Sale Terms.

3. Account Registration

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, to create an account or buy a card from CardDeals. Some features of the Service require an account. When you create one, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information
  • Maintain and promptly update your account information
  • Keep your login credentials secure and confidential
  • Accept responsibility for all activity under your account
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or appear to be fraudulent.

4. Use of the Service

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
  • Scrape, crawl, or use automated means to access the Service without our written permission, except through the public deal API, MCP server, and machine-readable files we publish for that purpose (within their rate limits) and search engine crawling permitted by our robots.txt file
  • Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service
  • Use the Service to transmit malicious code, spam, or harmful content
  • Resell or redistribute the Service without authorization
  • Upload, post, or transmit any infringing, deceptive, fraudulent, or defamatory content

5. Purchases & Our Guarantee

Cards sold directly by CardDeals. Some gift cards are sold to you directly by CardDeals and are clearly marked "Sold by CardDeals" at checkout. These purchases are covered by our money-back guarantee: if a card you buy from us does not work as described or its balance is incorrect, contact us at [email protected] within thirty (30) days of purchase and we will verify the issue and, at our discretion, issue a full refund to your original payment method or replace the card. The guarantee covers cards that are invalid, already redeemed, or carry a balance materially lower than advertised. It does not cover cards you have partially or fully spent, cards reported after the 30-day window, losses caused by sharing your card code with others, or buyer's remorse where the card is valid and matches its description. Refunds are typically processed within five (5) to ten (10) business days of approval.

Delivery of cards sold by CardDeals:

  • Bank transfer (ACH): When you pay by bank transfer, we email your card once your bank payment clears, which usually takes up to four (4) business days.
  • Debit and credit cards: Some cards can also be paid for by debit or credit card, including through Apple Pay or Google Pay. The card price is higher than the bank-transfer price, because card payments cost us more to accept; both prices are shown before you pay. A card paid for by card is usually sent right away; if our payment checks do not clear it at once (payments through Apple Pay or Google Pay currently always wait), or it would go over the instant delivery limit, we send it once your card payment clears, usually within two (2) business days.
  • Instant delivery: After you complete 2 orders, or $200 in orders, whichever comes first, we may instead send new cards right away, before your payment clears ("instant delivery"). An order is complete when its card has been delivered and your bank payment for it has cleared.
  • Instant delivery limit: The orders we send before their payments clear, whether you paid by bank transfer or by card, can add up to at most $250 at any one time, and the limit frees up as those payments clear. A card that would go over the limit is sent once its payment clears. Your dashboard shows your progress toward instant delivery and, once it is unlocked, how much of the limit is free.
  • Returned payments: Instant delivery is a convenience, not a guarantee: we may limit, pause, or end it at any time, and it ends if a bank payment to us is returned or disputed. If a payment for a card we have already sent is returned, you remain responsible for paying for that card, and we may cancel any card we have not yet sent.
  • Refund if instant delivery fails: If we offered a card for instant delivery, or to be sent as soon as your payment is confirmed, and have not sent it within twenty-four (24) hours after your payment is confirmed, we will cancel the order and issue a full refund to your original payment method within that time. We will not send the card after we refund it. Once a refund is issued, how long it takes to reach you depends on your bank, card issuer, or the blockchain network.
  • Stablecoins: Where offered, you can pay with stablecoins such as USDC, through Stripe, at the bank-transfer price. We send the card as soon as Stripe confirms your payment. A refund of a stablecoin payment is returned in stablecoins to the wallet you paid from.

Your first purchases. Before your first purchase of a card we source from a supply partner, you must verify your identity with our verification provider, Didit. Later purchases rely on that verification, though we may ask you to verify again. Until one of your orders is complete, the orders you have in progress can add up to $200; to buy more sooner, contact support.

Third-party provider deals. CardDeals also displays offers from third-party gift card providers. When you click through to purchase from one of these providers, you are interacting directly with that provider. Each provider has its own terms of use, return policies, and guarantees. For these deals CardDeals is not a party to the transaction and is not responsible for the quality, safety, legality, or delivery of gift cards purchased through linked providers; our money-back guarantee above applies only to cards sold directly by CardDeals.

6. Affiliate Relationships, Compensation & Ranking

CardDeals earns a commission when you buy through some provider links on the platform. Currently, CardCash, Card Depot, Sam's Club, and Bitrefill pay CardDeals a commission on qualifying purchases made through our links. Banners and other placements marked "Ad" promote partners that pay us through affiliate networks such as Rakuten Advertising, Awin, and CJ.

Commissions do not change the price you pay. We show the discount a provider advertised when we last checked; prices and availability can change, so confirm the final price on the provider's checkout page.

Offers are ranked by these rules, in order:

  1. Higher discount first.
  2. When discounts tie, cards sold by CardDeals come first.
  3. When discounts still tie, providers that pay CardDeals a commission come next, in this order: CardCash, Card Depot, Sam's Club, Bitrefill.
  4. Then, providers that offer a longer buyer guarantee.
  5. Finally, alphabetical order by provider.

A commission never changes a displayed discount, never decides which offers are shown, and never places an offer ahead of one with a higher discount. Sponsored placements are labeled "Ad", appear outside the offer comparison, and rotate partly based on how often each one is clicked.

7. Privacy & Cookies

Our Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, the cookies and similar technologies we use, who we share information with, and your choices, including the cookie banner where it applies and Global Privacy Control.

8. Price Alerts

CardDeals offers price alert notifications as a convenience feature. While we strive to deliver accurate and timely alerts, we do not guarantee that alerts will be sent in real-time or that the prices shown at the time of notification will still be available when you visit the provider. Price alert notifications are informational only and do not constitute an offer or guarantee of any price.

9. Your Submissions

You may send us content such as support messages, brand requests, browser extension feedback, and notes on cards you sold us. You are responsible for what you send, and you confirm that you have the right to send it and that it is lawful and does not infringe anyone's rights. You keep ownership of your content and allow us to use it to operate, support, and improve the Service. If you send us ideas or suggestions, we may use them without any obligation to you.

10. Copyright Complaints

If you believe material on the Service infringes your copyright, email us:

Include your contact details, the work you believe is infringed, the material you believe infringes it and where it is (such as its URL), and a statement that you own the copyright or are authorized to act for the owner. We will review your complaint and remove material that infringes. If your material was removed and you believe that was a mistake, contact us. We terminate the accounts of repeat infringers in appropriate circumstances.

11. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, features, content, algorithms, and underlying technology, is owned by CardDeals LLC and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. Brand names, logos, and trademarks displayed on the Service belong to their respective owners and are used for identification and informational comparison purposes only. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on our Service without our express written consent.

12. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that any defects will be corrected. We make no representations regarding the accuracy or completeness of gift card pricing, availability, or discount information. Some brand descriptions and categories are drafted with the help of an AI model from public information and may contain errors.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CardDeals LLC and its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service, any purchases made through third-party providers linked from the Service, or any unauthorized access to your account.

14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless CardDeals LLC, its officers, directors, employees, and affiliates from any claims, damages, liabilities, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your use of the Service, content you submit, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.

15. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination shall survive, including ownership provisions, warranty disclaimers, indemnity, arbitration agreements, and limitations of liability.

16. Dispute Resolution: Binding Individual Arbitration & Class Action Waiver

Please read this section carefully. It affects your legal rights, including your right to file a lawsuit in court and to have a jury hear your claims.

Informal Dispute Resolution: Before initiating any formal legal or arbitration proceeding, you and CardDeals agree to attempt to resolve any dispute, claim, or controversy informally. Either party must send a written notice of dispute detailing the issue, requested relief, and contact information to [email protected]. Both parties agree to engage in good-faith negotiations for at least thirty (30) days following receipt before initiating arbitration.

Binding Individual Arbitration: Except for small claims disputes that qualify for small claims court or claims seeking emergency injunctive relief for intellectual property or trade secret infringement, any dispute, controversy, or claim arising out of or relating to these Terms, the Service, or your relationship with CardDeals LLC shall be finally settled by binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association ("AAA") in accordance with its Consumer Arbitration Rules, or the Rules of Arbitration of the International Chamber of Commerce ("ICC") for international users, as applicable. The Federal Arbitration Act ("FAA") governs the interpretation and enforcement of this section.

Class Action & Representative Proceeding Waiver

YOU AND CARDDEALS AGREE THAT EACH PARTY MAY BRING CLAIMS AGAINST THE OTHER ONLY IN AN INDIVIDUAL CAPACITY AND NOT AS A PLAINTIFF, CLASS REPRESENTATIVE, OR CLASS MEMBER IN ANY PURPORTED CLASS, COLLECTIVE, CONSOLIDATED, OR REPRESENTATIVE PROCEEDING. UNLESS BOTH YOU AND CARDDEALS AGREE OTHERWISE IN WRITING, THE ARBITRATOR MAY NOT CONSOLIDATE MORE THAN ONE PERSON'S CLAIMS AND MAY NOT PRESIDE OVER ANY FORM OF CLASS OR REPRESENTATIVE PROCEEDING.

Jury Trial Waiver: You and CardDeals knowingly, voluntarily, and irrevocably waive any constitutional and statutory rights to go to court and have a trial in front of a judge or a jury.

30-Day Right to Opt Out: You have the right to opt out of the provisions of this Arbitration Agreement within thirty (30) days of the date you first accept these Terms (or first use the Service) by sending written notice to [email protected] stating your name, account email, and an unequivocal statement that you wish to opt out of arbitration. If you opt out, all other sections of these Terms will continue to apply.

Severability: If any portion of this arbitration clause is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that specific portion shall be severed and the remainder shall remain fully enforceable, provided that if the Class Action Waiver is held unenforceable, the entire arbitration agreement shall be voidable.

17. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms and any dispute not subject to arbitration shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of law principles. To the extent court proceedings are permitted, you and CardDeals consent to the exclusive jurisdiction and venue of state and federal courts situated in Delaware. If you are a consumer in the EU/EEA or UK, this clause does not affect mandatory consumer rights under the laws of your country of residence.
